Was supposed to go hiking again to Champadevi but it was raining (in fact, it rained the whole morning) so I met up with a vegan/animal activist friend who had told me about this rally for World Animal Day 2013.

Here comes the panda!

The rally begins!

We started off from Basantapur…

And ended up at Patan Dubar Square!

Where the panda man did his stuff

And we fed the street dogs

We also came across this artist doing a mural at Pulchowk

Some of the placards and signs that were carried

EDIT: FYI this rally was organized by Animal Welfare Network Nepal – Animal Nepal (a member) also participated in this rally

Finally.. puppies!! 😀

But you mentioned Animal Nepal as an organizer instead of Animal Welfare Network Nepal (AWNN)

It was indeed a great event and a big thank you to AWNN and particularly shristi and the amazing volunteers for making it happen. I hope at least some people got the message that there are some of us who care for and love animals a lot and are willing to speak up for them. lovely photos and great blog.
